Tool & Die Technician reports to the Tool Room Lead Hand. The Tool & Die Technician is responsible for supporting production of quality parts at a low cost and on time to the customer. The incumbent’s primary responsibility is to perform the necessary tasks and duties to safely and efficiently prepare tooling and tool rigs for production use, utilizing appropriate skills and techniques in tool & die making.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

− Perform operational problem solving and identify / implement continuous improvements to the process
− Provide Technical support to employees, processes, products and equipment employed within the division on a day-to -day basis
− Ensure effective communication with Supervisors and Technical Team Members. Ensure that a “hand-off” occurs with off shifts to ensure that communication between shifts is effective
− Participate in continuous improvement team meetings to review and resolve quality, service, operations, facilities, human resources and health and safety issues, when required
− Participate in training and development of new members of the Manufacturing Technician team.
− Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
