Title: Payroll Manager
Reports to: Corporate Manager, HR Shared Services & Systems
− Support the HRM System Integration Project and research, develop, and manage integration of Time & Attendance and Payroll systems.
− Provide support for HR systems administration, digital HR and HR analytics projects.
− Coordinate continuous improvement initiatives.
− Oversee the distribution of full-cycle payroll processing for hourly and salaried North American employees.
− Ensure proper processes and controls exist at the facility level and that sufficient review of Time and Attendance entries are performed.
− Maintain the integrity of the payroll system and records (soft and hard copy)
− Review and sign-off on all master-file changes for corporate completed by the Payroll Specialist.
− Develop and approve recommendations for payroll processes.
− Develop and maintain strong working relationships with all departments across all locations
− Manage and ensure all year end activities/reporting including, Worker’s Compensation, and provincial health taxes as well as preparing and filing of all year-end related tax forms including T4’s, T4A’s, W2s and T2200’s are completed by the Payroll Specialist.
− Mentor and coach the Payroll Specialist in all related payroll activities and provide payroll backup as needed.
− Review and approve variance reporting of corporate actual payroll expenses compared to budget to be provided to the Head of Finance by the Payroll Specialist.
